For
the dozen classmates who met to discuss
The Trial, it was an important
counterpoint to the purely social aspects of the weekend. At the same
time Saturday morning one of our own won the alumni division of the
annual Reunion Run with other classmates and family members racing
behind his pace. And another classmate on her own run around Beebe
Lake stopped a woman for directions and found herself engaged in conversation
with one of the Cornell Faculty-in-Residence.
Red fleece 1979 vests
were visible at all class and university venues, and we wonder how
many "gorge towels" were used this summer. We know the class music
CD was played often, and one classmate has offered to do another disc
for the 30th. Directories with current contact info were distributed
and can still be acquired; again there are grand plans for expanding
this project for the 30th.
Milestone reunions that bring us closer
to each other and to Cornell are wonderful, and can inspire alumni
to be in touch more regularly. The class officers work to assist with
these interactions, so be sure to visit the
"Class Business" section of
this site.
